Powder Room RENO Coming to Life...
Welcome back to week four!!
This week I’m prepping for the work to start this weekend. The plan is for the floor to be removed, pipes to be rerouted, and the new tiles to be installed. Next up will be wallpaper sometime during the next week, with the new sink and toilet going in by next weekend. So, this powder room will be totally dismantled for a week. Not sure what my home will look like for this said week, but I’m sure the whole first floor will be out of sorts a bit. And I’m perfectly fine with it. I think. I’ll bookmark this point until the next check in.
As for the styling items, still a bit of a working progress. This would seemingly be easy. For me it’s not, because the wallpaper doesn’t need any competition in the room. Therefore the added roman shade needs to be simple, but bold in color. What’s bolder than black?? Also, the contrast with a black roman shade and white faux wood blinds gives me all the clean line X luxe vibes I love. And the mirror, same goal; clean luxe. I chose a round, gold framed mirror (so far).
The rendering at the top of this post is what I’m keeping my eyes on to get me through the mess it will take to bring it life; thanks to Ayesha Coates who I teamed up with to have the rendering executed. As shared on the Instagram feed the wood trim shown in the rendering currently doesn’t exist, and I have blinds with no shade. My decision has been made about this window. Stay tuned for that in the final reveal in a couple of weeks.
How are we looking on tasks?? Here’s a look at my list!! *pats self on the back*
